Choosing the right soccer ball

Before you head to the pitch, discover different football sizes and materials, which make one football different from another so you can choose the one that’s best for you.

Shopping for a football? Not all footballs were made equal.

Read our guide to decide how to pick the best football for you based on size and level of practice!

Football sizes

There are different football sizes, therefore it is very important to pick the right football as playing with an incorrectly sized ball can have long-term negative effects on a player’s technique.

When younger players use a larger football, they will usually compensate the heavier weight by shooting with wrong posture, thus developing a bad shooting form.

Additionally, different pitches would require different football types in terms of size and material.

Level of play

Getting a football also depends on your level of practice.

There are 4 levels in choosing football: beginner, intermediate, advanced, futsal (1⭐ is the lowest and 5 ⭐ is the highest).
